The Committee on Judicial Policy recognized the bill to amend the Law "On the Capital of Ukraine - Hero City Kyiv" (re restoration of the right of the territorial community of the city of Kyiv to administer local self-government through district councils in the city and their executive bodies)

The bill (Reg. No. 10474) proposes to exclude from the abovementioned law part two of article 7 stipulating the possibility to establish (not establish) district councils upon the decision of the territorial community of Kyiv taken by local referendum, or upon the decision of the Kyiv city council. The decision concerning establishment (not establishment) of district councils shall be taken before the day of the next elections. It is also proposed to bring into conformance articles 11 and 15 of the law by setting them forth in a new version.
